'Lost roads, lost roads,'
we say.
We cannot figure out
How was it that the way
Suddenly turned about
And brought us where we are.
Yet we should bless that star
Which led us so astray,
Because, if we had gone
Straight onward, as intended,
Our story would be one
Long ago lost, and ended.
